The EU Global Action on Space is a new initiative of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Defence Industry and Space (DG DEFIS) which aims to promote the EU Space Programme and its flagship components Copernicus, Galileo and EGNOS worldwide, as well as foster collaboration between the EU and global space and non-space sectors throughout the value chain.

Stakeholders, companies and industry actors from all around the world will learn more about the EU Space Programme and its benefits in regional contexts, take part in business coaching activities and increase cooperation between EU and non-EU companies. Additionally, they will gain insights on the global space ecosystem and have the opportunity to attend webinars, events and study visits adapted to each region.

The Global Action is made up of three main elements covering different needs and stakeholders:

  1. Business coaching: 85 experts from more than 45 countries will provide space-related technical advice as well as business advice, such as on intercultural, legal or administrative aspects;
  2. Market intelligence: this initiative will help industry actors to gain market insights otherwise difficult to access, helping to better understand space ecosystems around the world;
  3. Events and outreach: launch of activities that will provide an opportunity to learn more about the EU Space Programme and how users around the globe can benefit from it and create occasions for exchanges and collaboration between EU and non-EU stakeholders.
